Introduction

Sudeva FC is one of the prominent football teams that take part in the I-league. The Innovation

The club is going to introduce an advanced training system in its youth development program. The advanced training system precisely includes the developmental training of the mind which is called ‘virtual reality training’.

One of the Sudeva FC co-founders, Anuj Gupta said,

“The footballers will be wearing some special types of glasses which I will have to import from abroad. These glasses will make a detailed assessment of a footballer’s psychological part and also his merit which will finally help the coaches to set the guidelines for the particular footballer. This training system was applied in European football around 10 years ago. This training will be provided also for our under-20 boys. But it will not be organized continuously. There will be breaks during the season.”

A trainer will be appointed to conduct these special training courses.

The Aim

In a bid to develop the youth teams, Sudeva is also planning to rope in a Spanish coach. The Spanish coach who is presently working as the head of the youth development program of a La Liga premier team, will come to India and work with Sudeva FC for around three months. The Spanish coach will conduct training of the juniors, scout their potential, and if anybody impresses him then he might take the respective footballer to Europe for training.

The Team’s Bhutanese coach

Sudeva roped in a junior national coach from Bhutan four years ago. He is Chencho Dorji. Although he was not a professional footballer there in Bhutan, he had a passion for coaching and started coaching in Bhutan following encouragement from Bhutan Football Federation in 2007. He praised Sudeva’s youth footballers saying,

“They are potential. They need to be nurtured properly and need exposure matches as they took part in the under-21 Youth Football League.”
