India is set to field a formidable team of 446 individuals in the upcoming fourth edition of the Asian Para Games, scheduled to take place in Hangzhou, China, from October 22 to 28.
The Indian Sports Ministry has provided official approval for a grand total of 303 athletes, with 191 being male and 112 female, representing the nation across 17 diverse sporting disciplines at the Asian Para Games.
Additionally, the ministry has approved 143 individuals, including coaches, escorts, officials, and support personnel. Among the athletes, 123 will exclusively participate in athletics competitions. This marks India’s largest delegation to the Asian Para Games to date. In the previous edition held in Jakarta, India was represented by 190 athletes across 13 sports, ultimately securing 72 medals, including 15 gold medals.
