The duo’s accomplishments include being the reigning Commonwealth Games champions and Asia Championships gold medalists. They have also achieved success on the international stage, having won a bronze at the world championships last year.

The duo achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first Indians to win a BWF Super 1000 tournament at the Indonesia Open in June. Their victory showcased their exceptional skills and determination. They continued their successful run by securing the Korea Open Super 500 title, which further helped them climb up the BWF rankings ladder.

Amongst the other Indians, PV Sindhu has moved up two places in the BWF rankings to become the 13th ranked player in women’s singles. On the other hand, HS Prannoy, who ended India’s 41-year wait for a men’s singles medal at the Asian Games, has slipped down one spot to become the world number 8 in the BWF rankings.

Lakshya Sen‘s performance in the men’s team event and his achievement in winning a silver medal is commendable. Even though he dropped one spot in the world rankings, he remains a top player at number 15 in the BWF rankings. Kidambi Srikanth‘s improvement in the rankings, moving up to the 20th position, is also noteworthy. In women’s doubles, the duo of Gayatri Gopichand and Treesa Jolly has made progress by gaining one place and securing the 16th position.
