“I’ve got some work to do,” said Woods, who hoped to get up-and-down to save par at the 17th once play resumes.

For all the 76 players who made a cut, it will be a longer-than-usual tournament. No one from the 76 participants has completed the third round, that did not even start until the mid-Saturday afternoon as the seven-hour delay to start the tournament on Thursday continues to play havoc with the playing schedule.

In reality, The Genesis Open is just past the halfway mark with only the final day left.

Thomas played only eight holes on Saturday and Rodgers played 20 holes. After shooting a 4-under 67, fuelled by a chip-in eagle from 131 yards on the par-4 seventh, he played two holes to start his third round, including an eagle at the par-5 opening hole.
