Maharashtra’s impressive tally included 80 gold, 69 silver, and 79 bronze medals, totaling 228 medals. This achievement brought an end to the dominance of the Services Sports Control Board (SSCB), who had held the top position since the 2007 Games in Guwahati. SSCB secured the second position with 66 gold, 27 silver, and 33 bronze medals, while Haryana secured the third spot with 62 gold, 54 silver, and 73 bronze medals.

Madhya Pradesh and Kerala secured the fourth and fifth positions, respectively, in the final standings. Hosts Goa achieved their best-ever finish, claiming the ninth spot with a total of 92 medals, including 27 golds. Karnataka swimmer Srihari Nataraj, with 8 golds, 1 silver, and 1 bronze, was honored as the Best Male Athlete.
