In the men’s recurve team seedings at the Asian Archery Championships, India secured the second position, with the Army pair of Dhiraj Bommadevara and Tarundeep Rai achieving the fourth and sixth place in the rankings. South Korea, the dominant force, claimed the top spot with 2061 points, while India followed closely with 2027 points in the continental championship’s men’s recurve team event.
Dhiraj achieved an impressive total of 682 points with 43 perfect scores, which comprised 13 bullseyes (X) close to the center. The top three positions were dominated by Korean archers, with Lee Woo Seok leading the way by scoring 693 points. Kim Woojin secured the second position by edging out his fellow countryman Kim Je Deok in a tiebreaker based on their 10+X scores, as they both had a total of 684 points.
In the Indian women’s challengers, Ankita Bhakat held the top position, securing the ninth place, with Bhajan Kaur following closely in the 12th position. The competition is set to continue on Monday.
