During 2017, Srihari Nataraj experienced his initial taste of national triumph by securing a Gold medal in the 100m Backstroke event with an impressive timing of 57.33 seconds at the National Junior Aquatic Championships. The subsequent year proved to be a milestone as he not only claimed Gold medals in various events but also set national records. Specifically, he set records in the 100m Backstroke, 50m Backstroke, 200m Backstroke, and 200m Freestyle, while clinching the top position in each event at the National Junior Aquatic Championships held in Pune.
